About

Vitor Mattedi

Full-stack developer · Computer Engineering @ UFBA

I build software end to end and keep it running: React front ends, TypeScript and Go services, the VPS platform they deploy on, and the ESP32 firmware when a project reaches into the physical world.

Through MattediWorks I build and maintain systems for small businesses and for my own products. Most of them run in production on the same infrastructure as this site.

Right now

  • Finishing a full-stack internship at Trackfy.
  • Computer Engineering at UFBA, semester 10 of 12.
  • Running this site and other MattediWorks web services on Stackport, my own deploy platform.

Path

Software end to end, with hardware when the project needs it. It started in UFBA's engineering labs, grew into MattediWorks, and now runs on a platform I built.

  1. Studies2016

    Electrical Engineering, UFBA

At the Federal University of Bahia, in Salvador, where I started building things.

  2. Work & research2017 – 2019

    Lab oven controller, GPSfibras UFBA

The lab oven's controller had failed, so I built an external one on Arduino, which later became an ESP32 web-based controller.

  3. Abroad2017 – 2018

    English exchange, ILSC Melbourne

Seven months in Australia, where I passed the Cambridge Advanced (CAE) at C1.

  4. Work & research2018

Temperature logger for a master's thesis

An Arduino logger with ten temperature sensors and an SD card, used to measure heat transfer through gypsum-and-sisal insulation panels.

  5. Abroad2019 – 2020

    Engineering exchange, TU Ilmenau

A year of Electrical Engineering bachelor courses in Germany, mostly statistics and communications.

  6. Work & research2020

    Digital three-way switch

An ESP8266 and a relay working as a three-way switch with an existing wall switch, where no cable could be run between them. Still in daily use after six years.

  7. MattediWorks2023 – now

    Founded MattediWorks

First paid contract in 2024, a landing page. Since then: websites, web apps and systems for individuals and small businesses, and the platform I use to run MattediWorks web services.

  8. Studies2023 – 2026

    Started Computer Engineering courses

UFBA opened no internal transfers in 2024 or 2025, so I took the CE courses while waiting.

  9. Work & research2024 – 2025

    CrocSpy research, UFBA

I led the app development team, moving from React Native to a PWA to reduce publishing costs. Other students handled AI training and the model service.

  10. Work & research09/2025

    Summer internship, Kordsa

One month: I merged three project data sources into one dataset, with a Power BI dashboard on top.

  11. Work & research12/2025 – now

    Full-stack internship, Trackfy

I work across front end, back end and device integration on a real-time tracking platform.

  12. Studies2026

    Transfer to Computer Engineering approved

Effective next semester. Semester 10 of 12.
