Project
MW Web Utilities
I built MW Web Utilities, a browser app for converting images, video and audio, and creating QR codes. Files are processed on your device, with no account or file-upload service.

Three tools in the browser
Images in batches
Convert images, including HEIC, to WebP and download the results individually or together in a ZIP.
Video and audio
Use FFmpeg in WebAssembly to convert media to formats such as MP4, WebM, GIF, MP3 and WAV inside the browser.
QR Studio
Create QR codes, adjust colors, margins and size, and export an SVG.
Processing on your deviceExpand technical detailsCollapse technical details
- React and TypeScript interface, with FFmpeg.wasm for media, browser canvas and heic2any for images, and JSZip for batch downloads.
- IndexedDB through Dexie keeps saved image work in the browser. A static build serves the app; conversion does not use a backend.
Practical limits
- Video conversion is limited by browser memory and device performance. Large or high-bitrate files may fail or take a long time; the FFmpeg engine needs internet access for its initial download.
